Hello and welcome to Campbell Arts Photography. My name is Kenneth Campbell and I have focused on portraiture photography after retiring a few years ago. With a prior background in the arts, I have found a deep connection between the aural and visual aesthetics and the two blend perfectly into my body of work.
As a portraiture artist and father of four, I have seen culture project messages of beauty that are unrealistic or unattainable. The goal of my work is to assist subjects obtain an intense feeling of self-worth when they look at their finished work. My role in this process is to help free the subject from social anxieties and extrude emotions that may be suppressed. This involves getting to know them and building trust. With this trust, I can work with the subject to capture intense emotional responses, like when engrossed in our favorite music. These natural emotions can be captured at the perfect moment and framed for the world to enjoy for posterity. The result is a form of contemporary portraiture that is the unique beauty of the subject. You can see this beauty in a dancer’s form, a musician's face, or the fear in the eyes of ordinary people.
